一個禮拜前收到 MySQL 寄來的信，內容如下：

MySQL 5.0 Certification

MySQL 5.0 正式版也出來好一陣子了，終於 MySQL 5.0 Certification 也正式出來了。連 MySQL 5.0 Certification 也可以搞個 beta，還要收錢喔！拿出去給人家看證照是「beta」似乎也不是什麼光榮的事咧... 還且考 beta 還要收錢喔！

從以前的 MySQL Core Certification(更名為 MySQL 4 Core) 和 MySQL Professional Certification(更名為 MySQL 4 Professional) 到現在的 MySQL 5.0 Developer 和 MySQL 5.0 DBA。

MySQL 4.0 到 MySQL 5.0 相差甚遠，從 ACID Transactions、Stored Procedures、Triggers、Views、Information Schema、Distributed Transactions(XA) 到 Pluggable Storage Engine Architecture、Archive Storge Engine、Federated Storage Engine 都是新功能。
其中 Information Schema 真的是千呼萬喚屎出來的！其實這功能 phpmyadmin 有模擬過，只要開啟 pma 且將 phpmyadmin 的資料庫建起來，就可以將資料表欄位加上註解了。

還有 MySQL 4.0 -> 4.1 加入的 subquery 以及 query cache 都是很有用的功能！
